Ode to the CEU Blues

Back to Blog

I’m a nurse with a badge and a full coffee cup,
Charting away as the sun’s coming up.
My patients are fed, their vitals are neat,
But CEUs? Well… I admit defeat.

They haunt me like shadows behind every door,
“Complete them by Tuesday!” (Or was it before?)
I scroll through the options at quarter past three,
“Wound Care or Ethics? Which one’s easiest for me?”

The modules all greet me with fonts bold and bland,
“Objectives,” “disclosures” — I don’t understand.
Then comes the quiz with its sinister grin:
“Which pressure ulcer stage breaks through the skin?”

I sigh and I click and I promise to learn,
Though my eyeballs are dry and my brain starts to burn.
But CEUs whisper, like ghosts in the night:
“Keep your license, friend — just get these right.”

So here’s to the nurses, all tired and wise,
Who log on with undercaffeinated eyes.
You heal, you chart, you pass every test,
Even when you’re surviving on six hours’ rest.Take heart, weary RN, LPN too,
CE Ready’s got courses — fast, painless, and true.
So grab your device and knock out a few,
And say goodbye to your CEU blues!
